This design commemorates the nearly 50 students held colored lights on the Y about Provo, Utah, on March 4, 2021, in an attempt to send a message of hope and solidarity to the school’s LGBTQ+ community.

Each small, light dot around the edge of the Y represents one person holding a light and is based on the map the students used to organize the action.

All proceeds from the sale of Y Hope merch are split between Color the Campus and USGA at BYU to further support LGBTQ+ students on BYU campus.
